  1. A hurricane is a revolving storm in tropical 
  2. regions, called typhoon in the North Pacific. 
  3. It originates at latitudes between 5° and 20° 
  4. North or South of the equator, when the 
  5. surface temperature of the ocean is above 
  6. 27°C (80°F). A hurricane is accompanied by 
  7. lightning and torrential rain, and can cause 
  8. extensive damage.
